Presentation to Mayor of Wells Cllr. Mrs. Jean Hague, of the original British Railways presentation table watched by Artist David Fisher and Cllr. Colin Price who both helped with the restoration and Paul Fry Secretary of the Fraternity. This table was presented to the Station Master of Wells Mr. C.W.Broome on the occasion of the naming of the Bullied locomotive “Wells”.
Colin Price and Andrew Tucker manned the Fraternity’s stand in the Cathedral on 17 January for the Community Day. There were around 80 stalls and the event was busy all day. For us the most frequently asked question was ‘when will Wells get a railway station again’. We couldn’t provide any positive news on that one but a good number of people were interested in our activities and took a bookmark with our 2025/26 Programme of Meetings and sometimes the Membership Application Form as well.
